It has come to the point where she must receive food stamps in order to feed her children, which upsets her even more, because she feels it is all her fault that she is in this situation. Clearly, that is not the case, inasmuch as the overwhelming social forces and cultural influences have served to involuntarily shape her life to the exclusion of her own choices.
