Karl Barth's Christ

A 7 page paper discussing the theology of Karl Barth, particularly his difficulty with God's requirement that humans accept the salvation offered through Jesus. Barth worked tirelessly in demonstrating that God was not to be made in humans' image. He stumbled, however, in insisting that salvation is by grace alone AND that we need to do nothing to receive it. Certainly Barth's primary premise is correct. It is a fact of such magnitude that we are told repeatedly throughout the New Testament that salvation is through grace alone, but Jesus consistently required action of those professing belief.
