Mexico's Drug Cartel War: United States' Role
[ send me this essay ]
4 pages in length. The role America plays in Mexico's ongoing drug cartel war is in direct relation to the extent this unsavory activity "spills across the border into the United States" (Brennan, 2008), which it frequently does. As America continues its own war against drugs, many believe it is nothing more than an exercise in futility if Mexico as continuously slips in the majority of illegal drugs across a virtually unmonitored border. Without United States participation in the effort to control Mexico's cartel war, America only stands to reap the consequences of its own ongoing drug abuse problem. Bibliography lists 3 sources.

According to Malone’s article, the Camarena case serves as an
excellent example of what an investigative team is likely to

is a willful obstruction of information and investigation by
other agencies involved. Bibliography lists 6 sources.

Moral and Legal Responsibility Against Drinking and Driving
[ send me this essay ]
This is a 5 page tutorial language paper discussing the moral and legal responsibility and the campaigns against drinking and driving. As drinking and driving continues to take many lives on an annual basis, two different formats are being used to control drinking and driving in Canada and the United States. From a legal perspective, stricter laws are being advocated to try and deter and punish people from drinking and driving. Perhaps more effective campaigns however, are those which have targeted the moral responsibility of drinking. Harm reduction programs, moderation management and public awareness are now becoming more prominent in regards to a person’s moral and social responsibility to use self-control and moderation when drinking in order for the protection of the individuals and others in society. Provincial alcohol boards and some alcohol distributors are now promoting the moral obligations and choices people must make when they drink. In addition, many believe that the laws reflect the moral and values of the population even though they may conflict with images of irresponsibility which are often promoted as well. In the case of hard core drinkers who seemed unaffected by moral responsibility campaigns, stricter laws are being suggested focusing on the hard core drinker.
Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Mothers And Drugs: How A Child's Life Is Impacted When She Is An Addict
[ send me this essay ]
6 pages in length. Women are cautioned about what they put into their bodies long before they become pregnant; if the pregnancy is unplanned, the mother needs to take immediate measures to modify her diet and habits so they do not harm the growing fetus as soon as she realizes she is with child. From foods to supplements and prescription medications to over-the-counter products, there is nothing that escapes scrutiny when it comes the impact such external influences have upon a developing baby. In light of this understanding, it seems unconscionable that a woman would ingest illicit drugs during her pregnancy when there is no question - both anecdotally and scientifically proven - that such behavior serves to detrimentally impact the fetus's mental and physical formation.
