the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem. After he was shot,
he said he would be glad if he could have helped
the black people, but that all credit is due to
Allah. Only the mistakes were his. Malcolm X
died on February 21, 1965; he was 40 years old.
An autobiography is the story of ones life as
they tell it. This is not entirely true in the
case of Malcolm X.; on a regular basis he told
parts of his life to journalist and author, Alex
Haley, who then put those life pieces together
into the autobiography that we are discussing.
